Question:
What could be the long term damage from pushing the body back and the headstock forward for a sort of whammy effect. I've seen it done before and tried it a few times but I'm afraid of snapping the neck on my guitar.

Answer:
Well ,doing that for a long period of time would be damaging to your acoustic guitar. Any whammy affects should be done by string bending while fretting a note. Another cool trick is to reach up above the nut and push down on the strings slightly after hitting a note or notes. This will raise the pitch.
