Shall We Throw That Silica Gel Packet Out Of Guitar?

When we buy a new acoustic or classical guitar, we find a silica gel packet inside guitar's belly. Now the question is to throw that packet or not ? 

Well first of all silica gel is a dehydrating agent and it absorbs moisture.It is intended to soak up any extra moisture on its trip from overseas.If you are living near moist place like sea or ocean, you should definately not throw it becasue due to the moisture in air, your guitar can have a bend. 

And if you are living in a hot place or near desert, throw it away becasue it will make your guitar more dry.Keeping it in your guitar's belly will do no good (which is not good for guitar's body either).

It also depends upon climate, in rainy season or winters , do keep one in your guitar. 

I personally keep silica packets in all of my guitars to keep them dry and prevent from moisture.
